The Spiral Collection “Twist the Helix” begins with a discovery : stone fragments from old classical spiral columns, discarded in a Lebanese quarry. What was lost to time becomes the foundation for an entirely new design language.
Each piece in the collection - a console/library, a bench/coffee-table, a side table/stool, and table lamps - reimagines the spiral column’s structural DNA. The original form that once supported architecture becomes the organizing principle for contemporary pieces with new purposes and now anchors new moments.
This is design as reinterpretation and the evolution of form and function across time.
They operate as both archaeological artifact and functional object, revealing stone’s inherent paradox: how material so heavy and solid can appear fluid and graceful through carved form. The spiral’s ascending motion creates a sense of movement and lightness that defies the stone’s own weight. Cold stone meets warm wood and light metal; rough and weathered surfaces dialogue with polished finishes; natural materiality confronts man-made intervention.
