This series of the Murano “Nomad” flask collection travels to Greece. Mouth-blown in Venice with fire and air, up-cycled metal threads move unpredictably inside the molten glass and revealed by light. Each piece begins as a smooth mineral body, veined and marbled white, a nod to Greek stone, carried by Venetian craft. Then come the handles, drawn from Greek form: arches, spirals, scallops, sweeping curves, inspired by the language of amphorae, temples, and myth.
